A Conversation About A Possible Collaboration Somewhere In The Near Future is a duo exhibition and book inspired by a WhatsApp exchange between Brussels-based photographer Thomas Driesen and painter Bieke Buckinx. Initially a discussion about potential dates and locations for a possible collaboration, the conversation itself evolved into the central theme of the exhibition.
At its heart, a large smartphone-shaped screen displays the WhatsApp messages, revealing the origins of every idea. The exhibition showcases four distinct art projects, including video installations, objects, painting and photography, all stemming from this dialogue. The rest of the conversation is captured in a book authored by Thomas Driesen, offering a summarized exploration of their creative exchange.
